We start our food journey by exploring the local fresh market. You will learn more about Thailand’s food culture, get to know what the local people love to eat and drink. You will also get to see, smell and taste the different herbs, spices, vegetables and fruits used in Thai cooking. While walking through the market you will have the opportunity to drink some refreshing coconut juice or have some sweet sugarcane juice. After the market we will head home, where you will get some hands-on experience with Thai cooking. Supawan and Boonhome will guide you while you learn to cook some unique Thai foods.
The first dish you will cook is Khao Munn Somtum, a specialty menu straight from the Thai royal cuisine, it’s a spicy green papaya salad sided with rice cooked in coconut milk -You can’t leave Thailand without trying this famous dish!
Next up is Nor Oor, deep fried preservative bamboo shoots. Don’t let its simplicity fool you, it combines some great flavours to create a delicous meal you will not soon forget.
Finally you will get to cook Tom Saab, a spicy pork rib soup with the authentic E-sarn taste. To go along with these foods you will also have an original Thai style "Black Pepper Mojito". Let's have a great time together!
