Non stop Food Tasting
Travel, eat, and drink like locals - away from Bangkok’s touristy areas. Please join us in this unique 3-hour food on foot tour to explore Bangkok’s historic west side of the Chaopraya river. We will start the journey by trying locals’ favorite charcoal-grilled appetizer "Pork Satay". After this, you will have a chance to sample several kinds of local favorite dishes (e.g., BBQ pork with rice, fish ball noodles, Pad-see-ew) along the one-kilometer stretch of road. It will be best if you start the tour with an empty stomach. After visiting the street food, we will explore a masjid (muslim mosque), a Chinese temple and a Thai temple all locating in one single neighborhood showcasing the community’s great diversity as well as ethnic harmony. We will conclude the tour by stopping over the Princess Mother’s memorial park to enjoy its natural tranquility.
We'll take to you to the west side of the Chaopraya River. Historically, this area used to be a port where cargo boats from China were loaded and unloaded. A majority of Bangkok’s Chinese immigrants started their journey in Thailand here. Our parents were in fact those immigrants that fled mainland China after the second World War. This area has been where ethnic Chinese, Muslims, and Thais live together harmoniously. Not far from the street food, the Princess Mother Memorial park is located nearby.
